Factory Theatre is a vibrant centre of new play development and presentation, with the proud by-line, “Home of the Canadian playwright.” Located in the heart of downtown Toronto, we produce a full season of all-Canadian plays, many of them world premieres. Factory is edgy and contemporary with programming that celebrates diverse theatrical voices and culturally diverse artists. We are a two-theatre facility: the Mainspace is a traditional, 200-seat theatre capable of large-scale productions and our Studio Theatre, the flexible 100-seating style allows for innovative works and experimental forms of presentation, as well as development and outreach activities.
